British dressage rider Laura Bechtolsheimer married Mark Tomlinson in the beautiful Swiss resort of Arosa, on March 2nd.
Although Laura rides for GB, she was actually born in Germany but moved to Gloucestershire, England with her parents when she was very young. She started riding at an early age and has had countless successes in Dressage, winning individual bronze and team gold at the 2012 Olympics, in London. To finish off a great year, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year Honours, for her services to equestrianism.
Mark Tomlinson is a very successful polo player and has been on the British team many times. His parents own the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire, where Prince Charles is patron, and his sons Prince William and Prince Harry also play polo at the club.
The lavish wedding ceremony took place at the Tschuggen hotel, owned by Laura’s billionaire grandfather, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate Middleton) together with Prince Harry , were guests.
